[Toy Story 3] The Second Most Important Person in the World
The next forty years of Sid and Andy’s lives, from seven outside perspectives. A sequel to Under the Table and Dreaming and To the Dogs or Whoever.
I know I said I wouldn’t post any more of these Sid/Andy recs, but after reading this, how could I not? Mind, it’s 60k words and be ready for tears. Lots of them.
While I was reading, I thought the ending was going to hurt more than Toy Story 3. But, it also feels more spectacular, just to watch people grow up. I think
snooter captured that perfectly. If Toy Story kept growing up with us, I think this is what it would have been.
I feel very lucky to have been able to read this. Now that it’s over, I don’t know what to do with myself.
I finished it today, I feel kind of lost as well… I like to think that that’s how their life went after Andy left for college. But it was a life-changing fic, no joke. It’s spectacular and probably the best fic I’ve ever read.
